Great power supply! | |
| Very good value for the money. In fact, I liked it so much that I bought two more. I have two on my bench and I use the third for using electrolysis to clean silver coins that I find while metal detecting. Although it would probably work fine the way it is, I added TO-3 style heat sinks to the output power transistor on the back of each supply case. If you do this, make sure to use TO-3 insulators and heat sink compound. Like I said earlier, this is probably unnecessary, but I like to keep semiconductors nice and cool. Ive owned these for over two years and they havent given me any problems. The 5V, 500ma charging ports are somewhat useless for charging cell phones and such because most need at least 1 amp. It is good, however, for things like 5V Arduino boards. The short circuit protection is also a nice feature.I highly recommend this supply. | ||

Got this for my kids | |
| This is a handy little supply, my kids are taking electronics and it sure beats buying tons of 9v batteries. It also has a USB charger port. The analog display isnt as nice as digital, but for the price it is a great buy. | ||
